Salvatore Palumbo
My name is Salvatore Palumbo and I am a self-taught artist. My first medium was carving bars of soap as a child. Later, I became interested in painting, especially oils. For a time, I also did etching in lucite and glass as well as carving in wood and marble. Eventually, I return to my true love, painting landscapes, seascapes and nature. My favorite medium is oil but I also enjoy watercolor and acrylic. I am currently a member of the Staten Island Artist Association, The South Shore Artist Group, the Greene County Council of Arts, Windham, N.Y. My art has been exhibited at the Conference House, Blue Heron Park, Snug Harbor Cultural Center. The Jewish Community Center, The Red Carpet Gallery and Staten Island Cable Television. Collectors of my art include residents of Staten Island, Gainesville and Palm Coast, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, Owensboro, KY, Fridley, MN, Haines Falls, Windham New York and Wheeling, W.VA.
